hello universe … what on earth is going on? we had to turn on the AC this morning! I’m enjoying this mild winter as much as the next person – but there’s a little voice in the back of my head reminding me we live in the woods in Chatham County and the bugs are going to be a serious b$%^ch this summer! we’re still here stirring the pot and dishing up some delicious food – so forget turning on your ovens at home – come let us do the cooking for you.

Pastichio (Greek Lasagna) – i know this dish will bring in a few regulars (it’s quite addictive) a layer of hollow noodles topped with a blend of ground lamb from Massey Creek Farm and ground beef from Smith Angus Farm and all topped with a decadent layer of bechamel $8 add a side salad $3
Slow Roasted Beef Shoulder Pita Sandwich – our slow roasted beef from Smith Angus Farm served on a grilled pita with your choice of three toppings $7.75
RICE BOWL - our brown rice topped with your choice or any or all of the following: ($6.75 veg only $8 with meat) all our rice toppings are gluten free
- Green Chile Beef Stew – Smith Angus Farm stew beef, Screech Owl hot green chiles, homemade beef broth, lots of veggies.
- Lentils – Lentils, turmeric, carrots and a good dose of garlic. Add to any dish!
- Greens Bake – beautiful field greens (chard and mizuna from Edible Earthscapes, a little beet greens from Cohen Farm and a good dose of mustard greens from Piedmont Biofarm)), Screech Owl parsley, local eggs and a touch of feta make an excellent veggie dish
- Slow Roasted Beef Shoulder – Smith Angus Farm beef shoulder roasted with Screech Owl tomatoes and roasted chiles!
