Music, Art, Farming and Cooking – though seemingly different at first, are in fact quite similar.  We all take individual elements, mix them a certain way and end up with a “creation”.  Successful music, art, farm goods and food provoke feelings, stimulate the senses and require a certain insane person to create the end product.  The better the starting material – the better the end product.  The crazier the craftsman – the more creative the product.  Here in Chatham County we have plenty of both excellent starting material and insanity, affording our community some serious music, art, farmed goods and healthy food.  Life could be worst : )  So next time you run into a particularly crazy musician, artist, farmer or cook be sure to smile and let them know you appreciate their work.
