Good Bye August … Hello September!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love September, partially for the promise of cooler weather, partially cause I celebrate my birthday all month, partially cause it’s time for fabulous bumper crops of peppers …. the list is kinda long : ) so I’ll spare you.  So with my little time off i was able to start dreaming up some fun stuff for the shop – stay tuned this month for some sort of “organized chaos”, we’re seriously looking into wheat grass shots for everyone, and some sort of health shakes to keep us all as strong as possible through what may be a rough flu season.  Everyone’s feedback is greatly appreciated – come tell us what we can do to better serve your local food needs.

Here’s what we have cooking today …

John’s Chile Shack FAMOUS Green Chile Beef Stew - local beef, local beef broth, local corn, local potatoes, organic carrots and red beans.  oh yeah …. local roasted green chiles! and some of Doug’s super hot peppers from last year. ($4)

Roasted Leg of Lamb – Crider farm has delivered some beautiful lamb – we slow roasted all morning !!  ($9 platter with a small side  $7 pita sandwich with 3 toppings)

Greek Chicken Soup (Avgolemono) – local organic broth and orzo soup finished with local eggs and fresh lemon juice ($3)
