Another lovely day starting with meat from Murray Cohen and Josie and Missy cooking their hearts out. Thankfully Josie is pulling up the rear making the green chile enchiladas that I was not able to get to yesterday. She has a gluten free version and a regular flour tortilla version. These enchiladas feature Andrew’s (Aimless Farm) excellent 2009 green chile harvest. Missy is busy figuring out what flavor yogurt to make up for this afternoon. She also cooked up Bill Dow’s leeks, which is a good thing since we are getting another huge batch today. We have frozen so many leeks – as soon as it gets just a little cooler we’ll make a great batch of local potato leek soup. And finally, we have sliders!!!!!! For patrons of John’s Chile Shack, we can make them green chile sliders! Fries may be available, depending on how long before I get back in the kitchen : )

Greek Chicken Soup – our homemade organic chicken broth and orzo soup finished with local eggs and fresh lemon juice. ($3)
