Howdy local food lovers ! Another interesting morning in the kitchen. Alan’s soups sold out yesterday, so he is busy making new ones : ) We are also bringing online a classic greek winter dish called “Pastichio” that should pacify all the moussaka lovers out there till we see our little eggplant friends again next fall. Cooking seasonally is interesting, as we bid one or another favorite veggie adieu …. we reunite with other favorites … keeping the chaos in our kitchen the way I like it! Another ingredient I love to cook with this time of year is pumpkin …. look for some fancy pants dishes coming as the week ends and for the weeks to come.
Another note …. we are changing our days and hours of operation starting the first week of November (which is NEXT WEEK !! how fast did october fly by?) The new deal will be TUES – FRI 11A- 7P SATURDAY 12P – 6P. Hopefully some of our customers that can’t make it during the weekdays will take advantage and come get some vittles on saturdays.
