FINALLY … September is here !! we are having a little too much fun in the kitchen this morning listening to Josies IPOD – this should work well for the specials we cooked up – come on in and let me know what you think : )
Also, our very own Missy Elliott was on a flight early this morning off to college. We can rest assured shes well on her way to learning everything possible about soil management and engineering and hopefully she will come back here to use all that excellent knowledge (not to mention give us a break on some of her awesome veggies and fruits). Everyone toss out a little shout out to the universe wishing her well – i know i already miss her alot! (as a quick side note, John [who is mushier than he appears] is wearing the “pearl snap” shirt Missy gave him as a going away gift – be sure to let him know how handsome he looks in his new shirt)
Josies Crazy Good Green Chile Enchiladas – one great thin about Sep being here? green chile specials all the time! Today its josies favorite, green chile chicken enchiladas with local organic chicken and green chiles. and BTW we did make a GLUTEN FREE pan. ($7)
String Beans Al Greco – lovely string beans from Another Roadside Attraction with some organic carrots and local tomatoes. This is a staple in te greek late summer diet. Enjoy with a dollop of greek yogurt ($5)
Lamb Pita Wrap – local crider Farm roasted leg of lamb on a grilled pita bread and 3 toppings. ($7)
Greek Chicken Soup (Avgolemono) – local organic chicken broth and orzo soup finished with local eggs and lemon ($3)
GLUTEN FREE Avgolemono – that’s right , for our awesome gluten free friends our greek soup with brown rice instead of orzo ! ($3)
FROZEN YOGURT – our thick greek yogurt, Busy Bee farm honey and ……
