The kitchen is fun this morning … Maria showed me a new trick!  you take a warm corn tortilla and mold it over a can and bake in the oven.  Out comes a perfectly shaped baked bowl – it’s awesome! and NOT FRIED!  You can ask for a fried one …  and i’m sure John will be more than happy to fry pretty much anything you ask for : )  Of course our flour tortilla Taco Salad bowls are fried – they dont crisp up when baked.  Either way you can fill these lovely bowls with whatever you want – slow roasted beef, spicy beef, spicy beans, braised collards …. you can even ask for a fried egg on top (and today our eggs come from Judy Hogan – possibly the tastiest eggs in town!
