ice covered car this monring – no internet in the shop this morning – one call out this morning .. hhmmm  not the best way to start the week.  The good news?  A fresh slow roasted brisket coming out of the oven – Maria and I cooking up some greens bake – the sun is shining and melting the snow – HillCreek Vet is letting me use thier computer to write today’s specials : )  So all in all … not so bad this morning.

Chile Shack John’s SPICY lasagna – John has been asking for lasagna for awhile, and when we found ourselves with the noodles and of course the best meat out there – he reminded me it’ time to make lasagna.  So Cohen farm beef, a little Lilly Den hot sausage and John’s spicy touch … mixed with some ricotta, parmesan and mozzarella.  $7

Slow Roasted Beef Brisket Pita Sandwich– Smith Angus Farm beef brisket roasted with John’s secret spice blend and Screech Owl tomatoes and chiles.  Served on a grilled pita bread with your choice of three toppings $8

RICE BOWL – our brown rice topped with your choice or any or all of the following: ($6.75 veg only $8 with meat)  all our rice toppings are gluten free

• Green Chile Beef Stew – Smith Angus Farm stew beef, Screech Owl hot green chiles, homemade beef broth, lots of veggies.
• Lentils – Lentils, turmeric, carrots and a good dose of garlic.  Add to any dish!
• Greens Bake– a delicious blend of local dark greens including mustard, swiss chard and loads of parsley, mixed with local eggs, some ricotta and a touch of feta
