It is a little heavy in the shop today as we say a final adio to our friend and amazing farmer Bill Dow. Bill was the first certified organic farmer in North Carolina and a serious clean food advocate. Bill and Daryl played an important role in shaping our little kitchen – Daryl with her beautiful laugh and patient soul and Bill with his killer grin, amazing posture and intelligent wit. Always pushing the tatsoi, those super sweet cherry tomatoes, the pop in your mouth blueberries, the colorful nasturtium and the most delicious leeks ever!
