Can you believe May is over today?  this year is racing by … and the veggies are moving right along!  This morning an amazing batch of corolla potatoes (the creamiest best potatoes you’ll ever eat) came fresh from Forever Green Farm.  I’m gonna cook a few in the shop today (baked wedges that taste better than any french fry you’ve ever had!)  Gotta love when the farmers just come tot he door with these amazing foods.  it really is good to be Angelina : )

$5 SPECIAL – Cup of Lentil Soup with one spanakopita and one tyropita (spinach and cheese pies)

Chile Shack John’s Taco Salad ! – it cute to watch John work so hard with his secret meat mix (Cohen Farm ground beef and Hot Sausage) … his pinto bean vegan mix (which noone else is allowed to touch).  All these items go into this special Taco Salad – topped with yogurt and or cheese upon request Beans only $7  Beans and meat $8

Frito Pie – for our GF friends … enjoy a mix of the beans and meat over a bed of fritos $7

Beef Brisket Pita Sandwich – a beautiful brisket from Farmhand Foods slow roasted with Screech Tomatoes and some onion served on a grilled pita with your choice of three toppings $8

RICE BOWL – our brown rice topped with your choice of any or all of the following   ($7 veg only $8 with meat)  All rice toppings are Gluten Free!

  • Green Chile Beef Stew – our signature made from scratch soup – local beef bones for the broth, local stew beef, local roasted green chiles and some veggies.
  • Lentils – our signature made from scratch lentil soup made with extra grated carrots and lots of turmeric – good for your body and your taste buds!
  • Slow Roasted Beef Brisket – Farmhand Foods beef brisket roasted with Screech tomatoes and a little onion
  • Greens Bake– a fabulous mix of local fresh greens mixed with local eggs, a little ricotta and grated carrot
  • and later today – another batch of braised leeks from the gardens of Judy Hogan

Katie Bennett’s Double Chocolate GF cookies – a dark chocolate explosion minus the gluten!  $0.75 ea

Amazing Apple Cake – Judy Hogan’s recipe, Okfuskee Farm grown and milled rye flour!, Judy Hogan’s eggs, homeland creamery butter and a good dose of walnuts, currants, raisins and golden raisins – this is one of the healthiest delicious cakes around and chock full of Chatham County goodness!  $2.50 slice  $12 cake

Olive Oil Brownies! – dark chocolate, milk chocolate and olive oil – what’s not to luv? ($1.50)
