It’s Mushroom Day here at the kitchen if you ask Ang.  It’s Green Chile Day here in the kitchen if you ask King Chile Shack John.  Either way everyone wins.  The bounty of our local farmers is on display with amazing green chile cheeseburgers, mushroom moussaka and a kick (*&^ss mushroom soup.  so come pick your pleasure and hug the next farmer you run into.  On stage today we have Maitake and Grey Dove Oyster mushrooms from the master mushroom men Rob and Nick at Woodfruit.  And of course our amazing increasingly hotter batches of green chiles come from Screech Owl – paired with Smith Angus Farm ground beef for a burger like no other.  John’s super excited to offer “smothered” tater tots with monterey jack cheese and roasted green chiles as a side dish.

$5 Special – Cup of Lentil Soup or French Onion Soup with one spinach pie and one cheese pie

$6.50 Chile Shack John’s Green Chile Cheeseburger – add tots for $2  add smothered tots for $3.50

$4 Smothered Tater tots – golden fried tater tots smothered with monterey jack and cheddar cheese and a scoop of roasted green chiles

$4.50 Maitake Grey Dove oyster Mushroom Soup – a luxurious blend of Woodfruit mushrooms with Homeland creamery milk and a touch of butter.  (GF!)

$8 Mushroom Moussaka – Screech Owl eggplants, Woodfruit mushrooms and a decadent bechamel make for a warm satisfying casserole.  good for your body – good for your soul.  Add a side salad $3 vegetarian
