maria and I are enjoying the last of the “cool” mornings and cooking as much as we can to tide the shop over through Saturday – we for sure don’t want to be adding any heat to the kitchen with the temps at 105!  Today’s lunch is a classic no matter what the weather (and for the record it tastes great cold : )  kinda like for folks that enjoy cold pizza)  Sweet Potato Shepard’s Pie.  After today though count on no more casseroles … it’s onto the hot weather menus !

$5 SPECIAL – Cup of Lentil Soup with one spanakopita and one tyropita (spinach and cheese pies)

Sweet Potato Shepard’s Pie – our signature UBER Local dish featuring slow roasted beef and pork and Cohen farm ground beef and hot sausage topped with whipped mashed sweet potatoes from Wanda $8  add a side salad $3

Cohen Farm Beef Shoulder – slow roasted shoulder on a  grilled pita with your choice of three toppings $8

RICE BOWL – our brown rice topped with your choice of any or all of the following   ($7 veg only $8 with meat)  All rice toppings are Gluten Free!

• Lentils – our signature made from scratch lentil soup made with extra grated carrots and lots of turmeric – good for your body and your taste buds!
• Caliburn Farms String Beans – another great farm has hit the scene and we’re happy to offer string beans from them today.  Cooked with some tomato, carrot and a touch of olive oil
• Cohen Farm Beef Shoulder – slow roasted and delish!
